Why does the voltage increase and the current decrease when capacitors are connected in series?
When the capacitors are connected in series, the withstand voltage value of the equivalent capacitor will increase, which is equal to the sum of the withstand voltage values of the two capacitors. Because the direction of the charging current of the series capacitors is the same, the charging voltage is also in the same direction, both pointing to the direction of potential drop, and the voltages of the two capacitors are superimposed.
