Normal high-quality metalized films, their film thickness is very uniform, the surface is very smooth, so that the produced film capacitor noise is relatively small. In order to reduce production costs, inferior film capacitors can only use low-cost and inferior film materials. The film thickness is uneven, the surface is uneven and rough, and there are a lot of burrs. Capacitors produced by using inferior film will produce louder noise.
The capacitor core is the essential cause of noise:
Ideally, there is no air inside the capacitor core. The quality-guaranteed film capacitor will completely exhaust the air inside the core through vacuum hot pressing. And a dust-free, constant temperature, and constant humidity production workshop will ensure that there is very little humid air inside the capacitor core, therefore the noise of the film capacitor will be significantly lower and smaller. However, in order to save costs, some inferior film capacitors do not use vacuum heat pressing, and the moist air in the film capacitor core is not completely exhausted, which causes the noise of the film capacitor to become louder when it is used.
